How to Transfer Your Web Site & Email to our Web Hosting Service?
Transfer Schedule
Ideally, you should plan the transfer one month before you terminate your old web hosting plan in order to have sufficient time to perform a smooth transfer. Peforming the transfer in less than a one months time frame might put your website and email in risk of being inaccessible or even worst, important emails being lost.
Files & Email Backup
You willl need to backup or transfer all your files from your current hosting provider by using a FTP program or web based file manager (provided by your hosting provider) to download all your current files to your local PC. In addition to the normal HTML files, you may need to backup any scripts, databases, or/and even server logs files (normally not required). You should also download all your emails to Outlook Express or an email application you are currently using. This applies to clients who use mainly webmail for their email.
Transfer of domain name
You need to request for the domain EPP code from your current domain registrar. EPP code is a password that is needed to transfer the registration of com/net/org/info/biz domain names between registrars. The password is unique for each domain name. It will take about 1 week to transfer the domain to us. We recommend that the transfer be perfromed at least 30 days before the expiration of the domain name.
If you do not wish to transfer the domain name
Login to your current domain controller website and change the DNS (Domain Name Servers) to point to the our DNS server.

3rd Name Server

In general, it will take betweent 12-48 hours to get the DNS record to change and propagate through all the WHOIS servers.
How to upload your files
You will receive a notification email from our web hosting support team. In that email, it will contain all the information required to set up your website, this will include the FTP server information. With this FTP information, you can now FTP to the server and upload all your files. Due to the fact that different web hosting providers may require different server environment to execute certain scripts. We advice that you verify all the scripts (such as CGI, Perl) are working accordingly. In addition, you should also test all the hyperlinks in the normal web pages to ensure there are no broken links.
